Glass Quilts, an Original Poem

Reds, blues, and greens,
Rainbow of colors bright,
Telling stories
Knit by Christ’s might

Stories created unique,
Into stained glass,
Made by men,
Foretelling the past,

Jesus, David, and Samson,
Their tales unfold
Quilts of glass proclaim
Their now walking on gold.

Beggars, lepers, and sinners
Healings in time
Captured moments,
In radiant color’s sublime.

God’s love proclaimed,
Built into art.
From crafted windows,
His sensitivity set apart.

Church panes burn
Scripts into my brain.
Mosaics tell stories,
Of His love and pain.

Glass is not glass,
If made into an art.
Windows transmit
The love in Christ’s heart.
